Midnight Drag Races

We had so much fun tonight at the Drag Races!
We went with Zane's newly married cousin Andrea
and her husband.
We got perfect seats...except for the fact
that they were located right next to the port-a-potties!
But we were in the shade all night.

Jet Car with two engines!

We kept complaining that the overpriced
 fountain drinks tasted funny...they probably
 had something in them. haha

Breathing a New Kind of Air

Today I gave Zane a pressure point facial and a haircut.
Hahaha He is so funny! He decided to surprise me with a few pictures while I was out getting more towels. haha

Zane enjoying a Zinc and Sulfur mask :)

Pressure point facials are designed to unclog you sinuses by pressing down on each pressure point in your face. It slowly relieves tension and buildup. If you hit the point just right you can actually feel the sinus drain and you see your client swallow from drainage. It's a really awesome facial!

Daddy's Day

Happy Fathers Day Dad!

I am pretty sure I have the best dad in the world!
My dad is such a wonderful example
to me. He has taught me just about
everything I know.
I have learned a lot through his example such as,
hard work is essential if you want to get anywhere in life,
sometimes sacrifice is necessary, especially when it comes to a family. He is one of my heroes!

My dad has always been there for me. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful dad in my life. I know there are many kids who don't have their dad in their life, so I am very fortunate.

Thanks dad for all of your sacrifice and love Dad!
I love you!

For Fathers Day we had both sets of grandparents over for a steak dinner. It was fabulous!

Here are 5 of the 12 juicy steaks...$120 later haha
Don't worry though, we're vegan ;)

"Sissy Saturday" :)

Today my sister and I had a blast!
We spent the morning giving her some acrylic
toe nails. She was so excited! haha

Then we went out fathers day shopping and
got a little distracted...so we bought some
sidewalk chalk. :)

We spent the rest of the afternoon until dark
drawing all over our sidewalk and street.

Thanks for the fun "sissy saturday" Maggie,
I love you!

Nails, Costa, and Lashes

I had a spectacular pampering day!
Chezli did my nails this morning.
They are a little on the daring side as far
as the Katie's style goes...but it's
 a good change.
They are dark blue sparkle tips, and the
ring fingers have light blue tips.

Then I treated myself to Costa Vida for
fatty Friday :) I always
get the same spectacular thing...
sweet pork burrito, smothered
with mild sauce.

I also had a great "therapy" session
with Kelsie while she filled my eyelashes.
I understand why shrinks have their patients lay down and close their eyes when discussing all of their problems...it
 really does the trick!
haha thanks Kels for helping me
in more ways than you'll know.

"You Had Me At Hello"

"What have I gotten into this time around? I know that I had sworn I'd never trust anyone again, but I didn't have to... You had me at hello."
-A Day to Remember

The Turquoise Day!

Today I colored one of my very good friends hair.
Kelsie and I had a blast!
Thanks for letting me do your hair girl!

Waiting for the Bleach...as usual

Just Another Sunday Night

Every Sunday night Zane and I spend the evening
at Temple Square. We enjoy watching
the movies in the visitor center, touring the
historic buildings, talking and enjoying the
temple and fountains.

hahaha this makes me laugh every time I see it!
hahaha he gets very enthusiastic about crossing the street. He loves to grab the crossing flags in both hands and strut across the street screaming at the top of his lungs in a retarded voice.

Splish Splash Float

Today I had the day off from school,
so I decided to take the little kids
to the pool. We had a blast!!!
We swam, laid out, ate, and enjoyed each others
company for 3 hours.

I love laying by the pool just soaking up the rays!
I know it will probably kills me one day, but
at least I had fun doing it!

Geese, Sprinklers and Paces

If you don't already know,
Thursday is girls night!
So this week the three of us decided to
take a loaf of wonder bread and
a bag of paces popsicles to the
park across from Layton
High School to feed the Geese.

We ran through the giant sprinklers at
Ellison Park and had a dance party to
all of our favorite songs.

Hahaha the best part of the night though
was driving past a big pack of
junior high kids and barking at them...
little did we know that they lived in
Jills neighborhood, so at 11 they came
and found our car in the driveway
and knocked on the front door hoping
it was Jill (their old babysitter)
 They were sooo scared!
We told them it wasn't us!
They thought that someone was out to kidnap them.
hahahaha

Love vs. Infatuation

1. Usually takes root slowly and it always grows with time.

2. Brings with it a feeling of security. You are warm with a sense of her nearness, even when she is far away. Miles do not really separate you. You want her near you but, near or far, you know she’s yours and you can wait.

3. When you’re in love you’re just the opposite. You can be sensible about your diet. You study or work harder because you want to excel for the loved one, and you’re sweet to everybody because you’re happy and sure.

4. When you love there is always a deep concern for the welfare of the loved one. Outside criticism does not dull your attachment-it sharpens it. Misfortune which may take away his “hero” status is of no consequence to you.

5. When you’re in love, though you would prefer to marry at once, you know that you can wait. You are sure of one another. You can plan your future with complete confidence.

6. Sex is also a natural and spontaneous part of love; but only a part. If your love is real, you will enjoy a sweet comrade ship with the loved one. You can have fun together without necking. You like each other. You are friends as well as lovers.

7. When you’re in love, although your personalities may be quite different, there is a willingness to hear the other side; to give as well as take; to compromise.

8. Love understands that she may enjoy another dance, another laugh, without reflection up on the relationship between you. You and she belong. All others are outside.

9. Love leads you up. It makes you look up. It makes you think up. It makes you a better person than you were before.

1. Almost always leaps quickly into bloom.

2. Is accompanied by a sense of uncertainty. You are stimulated and thrilled, but you are not really happy when you're infatuated. You are filled with a kind of feverish excitement. You are miserable when she is absent. You "cant wait" until you see her again.

3. When you're infatuated, you often lose your appetite. You "Just don't want food." You can't concentrate. You can't study. You can't keep your mind on your work. You're probably short-tempered and rather unpleasant with the family.

4. Infatuation actually stems from a desire for self-gratification. The young man is often a "hero" or a handsome and popular person in your crowd. Or may be a brilliant student. You wish to be identified with him. You want your friends to see that he has chosen you for his girl.

5. Infatuation brings the feeling that you must get married right away. You can't wait. You mustn't take the chance of loosing her.

6. Infatuation is largely a matter of sex. If you are honest, you will discover that it may be a little difficult to enjoy each other unless you are leading up to a bit of necking.

7. Infatuated couples usually find it easy to disagree.

8. Infatuation frequently brings with it the inability to trust her. When she's away you wonder whether she really had to study or work or go to band practice. You're jealous when she laughs and dances with another handsome guy. You wonder how much you can believe that what she has told you.

9. You may "fall" into infatuation, but you will never "fall" in love. Infatuation might possibly lead you to do things of which you will not ordinarily approve; things for which you will be sorry; but love never will.
