"Beauty School The Musical"
I love school so stink in much! I love walking through the doors of the salon and an immediate change occurs, everyone notices your hair, makeup and clothes, so you have to look your best! If you don't you'll be invited lovingly to sit in someone's chair for them to fix you up! It's awesome! Everyone has their own unique personalities and tastes, but over all, Beauty School is just one big fat musical! Everyone is singing, dancing and don't forget the bits and pieces of drama and conflict. haha We are like a giant family; we look out for each other. I guess spending 10 hours at school, 6 days a week would make it easier to form a family. "Our friends are the family we choose for ourselves." I'm glad mine has a great sense of fashion and a wicked awesome voice!;) Never Going to be a Beauty School Drop Out!

Stop washing your hair so much! You are taking all of the natural oils from your hair every day and stripping it! Give it a few days in between washing to calm down and be nourished! Plus, if you are trying to grow your hair out...bam! Instant solution! Now that we got that out in the open let's talk grease! Everyone hates grease! I have two favorite products! First off is dry shampoo! My favorite is from Rockaholic. It works amazing for any hair type for 1 or 2 days after washing. This product is sold at a professional store such as Cosmoprof.
This hair spray is the most amazing hair spray that has amazing hold! It leaves the hair with added shine and a wonderful scent! I love this product! Great for any hair style! This product is sold at a professional store such as Peerless.
1. MAC Studio Sculpt!
I am absolutely in love with this foundation! It does wonders to any skin! It comes in an assortment of colors and is a reasonable price of $30 a bottle and lasts
f-o-r-e-v-e-r! I apply it with a brush, using a little less than a dime size. Incredible! This products works best with MAC's finishing powder over the top to set the foundation(or any pressed powder). Sold at any Macy's, Nordstrom's, or online.
2. Mayballine's instant age remover!
How many of you have dark, tired circles under your eyes? fixed! This is like magic! To make it even more convenient it's a double headed tube; one side being a concealer and the other end being a highlighter to accentuate brow and cheek bones or help features during the contouring process. This is an easy and life saving product! Especially on tired mornings! This product is sold at the drug store! I know right?!
3. Maybelline's Fit Me Blush!
This is one of my new found favorites! We all want sparky cheeks that look natural and slightly sun kissed right? Just brush over the apples of your cheeks and bam! You look happier and healthier look that is just screaming for you to smile and show off those fab cheeks! Also try Fit Me Bronzers to accentuate cheek bones! The nice thing about this product is you can buy it at the drug store.
4. Anistasia's Eye Lightening Pencil!
This has got to be one of my all time favorites! Pencil in a little of this at the corners of your eyes and people will think you had a pro do your makeup! This accentuates and creates the illusion that the eye is bigger and more awake! Beautiful on any eye! These are the instant money maker eyes. This product is sold at Ulta, or any Sephora store.

Ok let's talk eyelashes! I have been to the end of the earth and back looking for great mascaras. I have found one that I like! And surprisingly enough it is sold at the drug store! The one thing I love about this product are the features. It gives you a crisp false lash look without the cake! Very black does the trick even for blonde eyelashes like mine! My absolute preference and love are lash extensions! Forget curling your eylashes, and mascara every day. Wakeup absolutely beautiful! Lash extensions are absolutely worth every penny and takes hours out of your daily routine!
8. Stop Washing!

...If you want to go longer than 2 or 3 days...that leads me to...
9. Baby Powder with Corn Starch!
I am obsessed with this! This works wonders if you want to go days upon days without washing your hair! It leaves great texture and gives added body to the hair. Just sprinkle at your roots a little, rub and comb until completely absorbed. Regular baby powder leaves the hair feeling dry and adds static, but with corn starch it just does the trick to make it feel soft, and healthy. I love this Magnolia Petal scent doesn't smell like baby powder so your secret isn't obvious. This is sold at any drug store in the baby isle.
10. Retro Versa Spray!

Thrilling Chills
Today was one of those days that seems to just make you sick inside from being so cold! The only way I can describe it is with a picture, because a picture is worth a thousand words. My perception of cold is when your body goes numb from the outside in, and everything just tightens and dies for a second until the gust is gone. January is a very chilling month. It seems to be the month that drags on forever, yet has the shortest days of the year...doesn't make sense! Good thing it's almost over!

Wow, I have the most amazing boy friend and best friend in the world! Even when the days are hard and the nights are long I know that he is feeling the exact same way! I love how he always knows just what to say and how to say it. He has a sense of humor that just cracks me up! haha I am so lucky to have my best friend and boy friend be so closely related so they can communicate with each other. haha He's so funny! Well today has been a good day so far because of him! Thanks Sam!
I don't deserve you, but I am going to try every day for the rest of my life to somehow repay you for everything you've done for me. You have made me the happiest girl in the world! I love you!

Different Parts of Life
I have had lots of good friends over the years. The only sad thing is we all move away from each other and life moves on. Now those friends are still considered friends to me but the interesting thing is that we are all in different parts of our life.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven..." -Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 |
Some friends are away at college, some on missions, some are getting married or already married with kids. Some have lived through rough times and some through easy. But, over all we are all still friends. It's a mind boggling thing to have relationships and special connections to other people who live completely different lives.
All my life I have heard people complain that they are "behind in life" with money, marriage, family, you name it they're behind. But now that I am approaching my 20's this concept is taking on some meaning. I just keep having to remind myself that I am not behind and that this is exactly where God wants me to be right now, so make the best of it and learn as much as you can!
You are only going to be this age and have these opportunities once, so live as much as you can and don't wish to be in any other position then the one you are in now. There is a reason for everything and you will eventually get to experience all of the wonders of life in accordance to God's time. So in the mean time, wait patiently and remember...these are the golden years!

19 and CrAzY!!
Wow, what a night! This was a very adventurous and out of the ordinary Friday night for sure! We had to get ready for whatever came our way. It started off with us (4 girls) putting our numbers on some random guys car from Idaho! Then, we had an idea to get a cart and fill it full of stuff based on a theme at Walmart and ditch it! It was so fun! Then to our surprise one of our phones rang! It was the boy who owned the car we put our numbers on and it turns out the he had 2 friends with him and they wanted to meet us. So we met them at Walmart and they were alright, kind of awkward. We went to Smoochies and got smoothies....yum! Then the boys had a pretty fun idea to put a Walmart bag on top of their car with random stuff in it and drive around the parking lot to see if anyone would notice. haha We watched as they drove very slowly around the lot. This lady came running out of Walmart chasing the car down yelling with her hands in the air trying to notify them that they had left a bag of groceries on top of their car! We were ready to wet our pants we were laughing so hard! I wish I would have caught it on video! We watched person after person chase the car down. Then we ditched the Idahoans and found ourselves some 9th graders. They taught us how to dance and dress straight out of the D.I. They were funny and interesting. We finished the night driving all around Centerville with the music booming and windows down just belting our lungs out! Wow this was a very crazy night! Thanks to Jill, Chezli, and Ashley for the great night out on the town! I guess that's why they call us 19 and crazy!
All This Ice Cream Talk
All this ice cream talk has made me really want ice cream! I'm feeling a Traci's Peanut Butter Cup Sundae! It's hot creamy peanut butter and homemade hot fudge combined over vanilla ice cream to make peanut butter lovers (like me) go crazy! Whipped cream and a cherry to top it off!
"Life is like an ice-cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time."
-Charles M. Schulz
Some of my favorite memories happened at Leatherby's Creamery in Salt Lake City. First off you have to know that this is not just any creamery, it's an old fashioned creamery that has amazing everything! The cheese fries and fry sauce are to die for. The juke box is a hit especially with the Kitchen Family and their song selections of "Milkshake"-Kelis, "My Humps"-Black Eyed Peas, and Journey. Leatherby's was the perfect place to celebrate birthdays, hockey game wins, graduations, holidays, and...farewells. The Saturday before Sam left his whole family and I went to Leatherby's to wish Sam well and treat him to some amazing ice cream one last time. That was a good day with good memories!
So from now on I am going to treat myself to the creamery of life with every assorted flavor, and take the licks with enjoyment one at a time until the end of time.

Homecoming Jitters!
![]() |
August 2013 Please Come Faster! |
My neighbor just got home from his mission today and it gave me the jitters! I started to get really excited for when Sam gets home! Then I remembered that he doesn't get home for another year and a half! haha Oh well, I just have plenty of time to plan now for his big shebang party! I love this sign and the balloons!
"It is the Memory that Enables a Person to Gather Roses in January."
Last night I was thinking back to last January and what I was doing. I have come a long way since last year! I had a wonderful memory though that brought a smile back to my face. I tried something crazy and out of my comfort zone...I posed for an ice cream shoot at Farr's Ice Cream in Ogden. It was so much fun! Elisha Braithwaite is a wonderful photographer, with very creative imagination. It was a pleasure working with her several times over the past year!
So many of you are probably thinking..."Ice Cream, in January?" Yes, Ice Cream in January it was! It was freezing but so worth it! I was set in a 1950's dress and hair style made for June weather! We ordered ice cream and just went with the flow.
"Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose." ~From the television show The Wonder Years I hope you all enjoy this memory with me, and want to eat a big cone of mint chocolate ice cream! :) |

"The List"
So I am absolutely sure that every girl has their own specific "list" of accomplishments they want within their life. I have lots of those lists! haha I have a list of things that I want to accomplish within the next year and a half. This list includes:
1. Getting my Cosmetology Certificate
2. Get my Master Esthetician License
3. Date at least 25 different guys
4. Create a Blog (check)
5. Go on at least 2-3 Adventurous Trips
6. Write Sam Once a Week
7. Save for a Wedding, or my next adventure!
Trip to St. George
As part of the list of things to do before Sam gets home, taking at least 3 trips is on that list! So to start off easy...my friends and I went to St. George for the 4 day weekend and had a blast sleeping in until noon, lounging by the hot tub, watching movies, scenic red rock drives, pranks and jokes, dancing to the ipod, bowling in a handicapped tournament, shopping, and staying up until 3am. Let's do it again, I love my girls!
