This morning I woke up to a knock on the front

door only to see a redhead standing there

with beautiful flowers and two tickets

to the Journey concert for Friday! AHHH I am so EXCITED!

Trip to City Creek

I love City Creek!

I think it is one of the most beautiful malls! Tonight Zane and I went down to just walk around and talk.

We always enjoy the beautiful fountains and winding streams through the corridors of the mall. My favorite is the water and fire show. I think it fabulous to watch!

To go along with our adventure we bought some new Chapstick...called Kissticks.

It's this awesome new Chapstick designed for two people kissing. There are two different flavors in a pack and when they collide during a kiss they chemically react. So we decided to try Fire and Ice. The Fire was warm and burned a little, and the ice had a menthol / peppermint feel. When the two collided they made a powerful cinnamon bear reaction.

I can't believe all of my friends are getting

MARRIED!!

Today was one of my good friends Bachelorette parties

It was so cute, she had the cutest invitation

to a tea and lingerie party! I arrived at her house to a

backyard full of vintage tea party decor with lace

and all types of frillies you could imagine!

We were split into two groups and sent on a

Scavenger Hunt in the mall. Whichever team 

got the most crossed off won a special prize!

Sleep Over with Shirley Temple

I have the cutest little sister in the world! Tonight her and I had a very fun sleepover full of giggles and jokes. My mom wrapped her hair in curlers for church tomorrow. I kept telling her she looked like Shirley Temple. After she fell asleep I couldn't help but take a picture of her cute smile in her sleep. :) Goodnight Goose! I love you!

Heavenly Bowling + Game Night

Tonight we had a big thunder and lightening storm!

I love this weather! My little sister was so scared 

as the flashes beamed through the window and the roaring rattled the house. 

My other siblings told my sister that if

lightening hits her it could kill her unless she had

rubber shoes on. haha...wrong!

She was so scared! We were having family game night

with drugged up Zane; who just had his wisdom teeth out on Friday.

I took the little kids to pick him up in the heat of the storm

and to keep them all calm I had to sing the "rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens song" from the Sound of Music.

I then remembered what an old friends mom used to tell me when I was a scared kid about heavenly bowling to calm me down. I explained to the little kids that whenever a storm rolled in it was just Heavenly Father starting a big bowling tournament in heaven and the sound of the thunder was the ball hitting the pins and the flash was a strike or a spare.

Pretty Car & Italian...Always a Good Combo

Tonight was a very good date night!

Zane and I wanted to go to Buca di Beppo in

Salt Lake so we got down there and were searching for a

place to park...haha What we didn't know

was that there was a concert going on

at liberty park so it was crowded everywhere!

We drove around for 10-15 minutes and we gave up so we set our minds to Olive Garden a few blocks away. We parked 2 blocks away from Olive Garden only to get out of the car to see right in front of us was a little Italian

 Restaurant called Cafe Molise.

It was very different, we shared a spicy italian

sausage soup that was good. We sat outside and enjoyed each others company talking and enjoying the scenery.

I love his car! I will be so sad when he sells it! 

After, we went for a short walk around the block.

We saw this view of the sunset. I thought it was unique as a storm was rolling in and the contrast of the dark and the light next to the colored and the blackened. 

Honey + Cinnamon + Nutmeg = Disaster

Tonight Jill and I had a very fun adventure as usual! haha

we didn't really feel like doing anything so we layed around

getting addicted to a new game on apple called sparkle...thanks to Dr. Perovich! haha

Then we decided to have a fun spa night

by making face masks.

Haha we had a blast though eating like crap, and cracking jokes!

Today I decided it was time to clean out the purse!

Wow I found so many things in there! I have everything

I need from chapstick, to jewelry; Umbrellas to pepper spray; 15 pens to smashed skittles. haha

It was a well needed cleaning job! Everyone kept

asking me if I was magically going to pull

out a lamp or a table or something like Marry

Poppins did! haha

What a DISASTER AREA!

    

If you are wondering what this picture is....it's my office at work! I came to work today, struggling to open the door and when I practically smashed down the door and turned on the light, I saw a sea of destroyed boxes and demolished packaging piled a good few feet deep. 


I was in shock!! I hopped and leaped my way to the chair and just sat there until I heard my boss come out of his office out of session. He peered into my office slowly. I turned around in my chair very slowly for a dramatic effect. haha All I could say was, "What in the H-E-DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS HAPPENED IN HERE?!"  


He explained that he had ordered a few pieces of furniture for his office and he didn't have a place to build them...so my office became the construction ground. He then proceeded in asking if I could take care of this mess. An hour and a half later the mess was cleaned. Man work never gets old, especially when you work for a psychologist! haha

Today I went to Boondocks with my family for my mom's 

company party. We had a BLAST!

We played 3 games of bowling, raced the go carts,

lazer tagged and played as many arcade games as possible!

We then discovered the Photo Booth...haha

haha I know I'll regret this post later, but today I really did prove to myself what it's like to be a poor college student. Today Jill and I put our change jars together and we managed to have about 15 bucks! We headed to the mall and bought pretzel bites with cheese and we split a few things from Wendy's value menu. We are so poor! haha We felt so stupid walking around the food court with a change jar haha! Oh well, good times!

Exhaustion

Today I woke up feeling very tired...the problem with that is I have slept over 28 hours in the past 2 days! I think I am very burned out!

I have been extremely stressed lately with every aspect of my life. It has left me feeling weak. 

Today at work I found an article about how to handle stress properly so that it doesn't turn into something bigger such as depression.

Stress Reducing  Tips:

1. Be realistic and don't try to be perfect, or expect others to be so.

2. Don't over-schedule; cut out an activity or two when you start to feel overwhelmed.

3. Get a good night's sleep.

4. Get regular exercise to manage stress--just not excessive or compulsive exercise--and follow a healthy diet.

5. Learn to relax by building time into your schedule for reading or a nice long bath.

4th of July Weekend

We headed to the cabin for a fun get away over

the fourth. I love trips to the cabin. 

The 3 hour drive is well worth it! Especially when you

get good food, sleep really well, weather is always 30-40 degrees cooler than Utah.

One of our favorite places to eat is called the Goofy Bear!

So good! 

This place was awesome! It just opened, it's called Sweet Lips.

It's a pizza and ice cream shop that has an 18 hole mini golf course in the back and an awesome train circling the perimeter of the roof while you are eating.

The pizza and ice cream is delicious!!!

Good Morning!

How would you like to wake up every morning to a delicious breakfast with pancakes, bacon, side pork, eggs, hash browns and homemade jam? I sure would! yum

Even better...how would you like to wake up to this picture every morning staring at you...haha yeah we always take it down and hide it in the closet! Creepy!
