Girls Day With Mags

Once again...my sister is amazing! She gave me the

best pedicure while we watched Country Strong!

Then She decided she needed to get all dressed

up to go out with her friends haha. 

I though leopard print, mascara, lipgloss and a bow
 would suit the proper occasion. haha

Sound Sleeping

I got today was new fleece sheets! I know right!

I have never slept better in my life!

I was so cozy and warm, in fact I had the

HARDEST time getting out of bed in the morning!

I guess Santa got a really good ($30) deal at Costco

Crying Violet

Ever experienced being in a hair salon 

and heard a screaming baby?.. haha 

Today there was the cutest little girl

in the salon named Violet. She was not

a happy camper at all! I decided to put everyone out of

their misery and take her for a walk. She calmed right

down. Man I miss babies!

Look Who I Found!

Look who I found sleeping in my bed after

a long day at church...haha

I sent him down to change and after 20 minutes, I decided to

go and check on him. haha he fell sound asleep. haha

Sushi Monster + Santa Mail

Tonight Zane and I went to dinner down in Farmington Station to one of our favorite places, Sushi Monster! It's sooo good!

We love to get the Las Vegas Roll and the Rock n' Roll. mmm Fabulous!

Layton Lights

I had a few minutes before a hair appt. tonight so

I decided to take a trip down to the layton lights.

All I can say is WOW! Someone spent so much time decorating.

A Grinchy Hairdo

Someone asked me to do a wig for them for a Christmas party...haha little did I know it would be the mayor from the Grinch. haha It was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done hair wise. 

 I first took a blonde mullet wig and sectioned it off for velcro rollers. Then I carefully rolled each piece up in a roller with hair coated with a thin layer of gel. I secured each roller with hair pins. 

 I let it dry for 36 hours!

Then...I carefully took out the rollers and back combed the living day out of it! I shaped each piece with my fingers and sprayed with a heavy holding hair spray as I went.

 I went to Walmart and bought a dark blue, light blue, black and sparkly silver hair spray paint. 

I was surprisingly very pleased with how it turned out!

Ginger Bread Challenge....The Foreclosed Version

Tonight Zane and I doubled with one of my

best friends, Jill and her boyfriend Braydon. 

It started off with a very competitive ginger bread

house challenge. As you can see from the picture...something went

wrong. haha

Sis Night

I love my sister!

Tonight Maggie and I decided it was facial night,

we had so much fun laughing and talking.

We watched When in Rome and ate chocolate :)

We finished off the great night with a sister sleepover!

I am so grateful for my sister, I don't know what I 

would do without her.

Have an Attitude of Gratitude

I love holiday crafts!

For enrichment night I learned how to make 

these super cute banners! SO fun!

On November 1st I decided to teach FHE

and make a gratitude tree. We took time as a family

writing down things that we were 

thankful for and taped them on the tree.

As the month went on the tree got fuller and fuller. 

This was a great reminder of what we really do have,

and how thankful we should be.

I absolutely love it when

he plays and sings for me!

He is so talented!

We had fun changing the strings and watching his cats be very

entertained haha.

Mrs. VanKomen

One of my very best friends got married today!

I am so proud of her! She was married in the

Jordan River temple. 

We met at Davis High in seminary my sophomore year. haha

She has always been such a cute girl full of energy!

I really missed her when I transferred schools.

3 years later...I was surprised to find her in my 

hair basics class! It felt like we were never even separated!

I am so happy for her and her decisions she has made

in her life. She is such a huge example to me. I wish you the best Lindsay with your new journey in life.

AHHHHH She's Getting Married!

One of my best friends is getting married!!! Today we went dress shopping and...we found the one! It is gorgeous!

The funny thing is that this dress is a size 0 already and it still had to be taken in two inches on both sides! Wowzers! Love you Linds! Can't wait for Oct. 5th!

Lunch at Snowbasin

Today Zane took me to lunch up at Snow basin.

We had so much fun cruisin' up in the Z listening to all of our favorite music. We road the Gondola to the top and ate lunch in a beautiful scenic lodge just the two of us. It was so fun!

Have you ever thought about how crazy it actually is that we can wink? Well I sure have! I have been so frustrated the last few months because I can't wink with my right eye! Everyone saw my frustration and found ways to make fun of me. Is that crazy or what? So after trying my heart out tonight I got a little impatient and decided to force myself to learn, it didn't work too well...any better ideas? hahahaha

Neon Compliments

I have been working very diligently on making compliment books for the YW. We just returned from a wonderful girls camp at Cinnamon Creek in Logan Canyon. 

I passed out notecards to every girl and told them to write words of love, compliments and encouragement on them addressed personally to each girl and I would make them into a cute little book. I only have about a fourth of the cards back...but it's been quite the project. Anybody have any ideas of how to make these neon notecards into a super cute book or something meaningful?

The Dangerous Game...M-O-N-O-P-O-LY

Sunday is always Game night at my house!

Tonight we decided to play

M-O-N-O-P-O-L-Y!

I really like the credit card version, it

makes things so much easier!

The game was very heated most of the

time with four players being 

ultra competitive, but somehow after 3 hours

we had a winner. Fletch won with a whopping

 $21 million dollars,

and almost every place on the board

 with hotels and houses

 on them...haha

This morning I woke up to a knock on the front

door only to see a redhead standing there

with beautiful flowers and two tickets

to the Journey concert for Friday! AHHH I am so EXCITED!

Trip to City Creek

I love City Creek!

I think it is one of the most beautiful malls! Tonight Zane and I went down to just walk around and talk.

We always enjoy the beautiful fountains and winding streams through the corridors of the mall. My favorite is the water and fire show. I think it fabulous to watch!

To go along with our adventure we bought some new Chapstick...called Kissticks.

It's this awesome new Chapstick designed for two people kissing. There are two different flavors in a pack and when they collide during a kiss they chemically react. So we decided to try Fire and Ice. The Fire was warm and burned a little, and the ice had a menthol / peppermint feel. When the two collided they made a powerful cinnamon bear reaction.

Sara, The Bachelorette

I can't believe all of my friends are getting

MARRIED!!

Today was one of my good friends Bachelorette parties

It was so cute, she had the cutest invitation

to a tea and lingerie party! I arrived at her house to a

backyard full of vintage tea party decor with lace

and all types of frillies you could imagine!

We were split into two groups and sent on a

Scavenger Hunt in the mall. Whichever team 

got the most crossed off won a special prize!

haha

Sleep Over with Shirley Temple

I have the cutest little sister in the world! Tonight her and I had a very fun sleepover full of giggles and jokes. My mom wrapped her hair in curlers for church tomorrow. I kept telling her she looked like Shirley Temple. After she fell asleep I couldn't help but take a picture of her cute smile in her sleep. :) Goodnight Goose! I love you!
